For those of you bringing your family along, Perth offers plenty of child-friendly options. King’s Park has a few excellent play areas: Stickybeaks and Synergy Parkland (both with cafés) or have a picnic near the war memorial, overlooking the city and Swan River. For a day indoors, try Scitech (interactive science museum) in West Perth. It is worth a drive down to Fremantle with multiple museums, playgrounds and skate-park, beaches and loads of eating options.  There are many child-friendly cafes around town including: Blacksmith: 460Beaufort Street, Highgate, Tarts Café: Lake Street, Northbridge and Stickybeaks, Zamia and Botanical Cafés, all located in Kings Park.  For a longer day out, consider Caversham Wildlife Park or Adventure World, or even a drive through Swan Valley visiting Wineries, Chocolate and Nougat Factories. You will have no problem keeping the kids entertained in Perth.
